You can fish on the lakes and ponds located in our resorts or find a place to fish nearby. Whether you are looking to fly fish on a local river or fish on one of the larger lakes nearby, it is a great way to spend time with your family as you enjoy Venture Out Resorts. FAMILY FISHING

What better way to spend an afternoon than fishing with your family. Arrowhead Lakes Resort offers you lakes and ponds to fish, without having to leave the resort. You will find pan fish like perch, blue gills, and bass. These quite waters make it a great place to fish, especially for our younger visitors!

You can also just pull a chair up and watch the fishermen, while they reel in their catch of the day.

SAUGEYE

Not far from Arrowhead Lakes Resort are larger lakes, Indian Lake and Grand Lake. Both lakes are known for huge bluegills, yellow perch, large mouth bass, walleye, and more. Indian Lake draws fisherman to fish Saugeye. The Saugeye is a cross between a walleye and sauger. The lake is stocked every year and the largest Saugeye caught to date is 25” in length.

FISHING CONTESTS

One of the most exciting activities is our fishing contests. With a special contest held every Father’s Day. It is a great time to spend with family and friends and celebrate with the one you love. Everyone wants to win prizes and catch the largest fish of the day.

Along with the fishing contests there are plenty of planned activities that everyone looks forward to. It is a special day that celebrates all our fathers.
