COVID-19 Response Plan

Ohio is experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and ICU admissions. Venture Out Resorts’ No. 1 priority is the safety of our members, staff and surrounding communities. These standards have been updated and developed to minimize risk and enhance safety for our members, staff and communities. We appreciate your support and cooperation so we can all enjoy the camping season!



  • We will continue sanitation measures such as increased cleaning of frequently touched surfaces and bathhouses.
  • We will provide hand sanitizer in various locations throughout the resorts (to the extent that supplies are available).
  • CDC-issued signage has been posted throughout the resort, reminding guests and staff of proper hygiene and social distancing guidelines.
  • While we will continue thorough cleaning at our facilities and have adapted some of our processes, please be prepared to bring your own masks, sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer and disposable gloves, as you are able.



  • Bring a face covering to wear whenever you enter an indoor space at our resorts or during your travels. It is mandatory by the state for anyone 10 years or older.
  • If you are feeling ill and have symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath), please stay home and let us know that your reservation needs to be canceled as soon as you are able.
  • Our cancellation policy is now in effect. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the policy. If you cancel because of an illness, please send a doctor’s vote to and we will waive the fee. Thank you!
  • Visit this webpage often to make sure you understand our most current operations plan.



  • Please only send 1 person from your party to check-in at the store.
    • It is required to wear a face covering when you enter the store.
    • We will be limiting the number of people in the store at all times.
  • Mass gatherings are not allowed. No socializing or activities in open congregate areas are allowed.



  • There is a statewide curfew in effect. Please do not leave your campsite or rental, unless in case of emergency, medical attention or going to work, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
  • Water will be on to some sites at Arrowhead Lakes Resort so you can self-quarantine to your campsite as much as possible.
  • We ask that you please take all trash to the dumpsters provided on resort property.
  • In all common areas, you must practice social distancing and stay 6 feet apart from others. Occupancy maximums are 10 people. For the safety of our guests and staff, please wear a face covering when inside.
  • Only one family household may occupy each campsite or rental unit.

    • While each unit will be disinfected and thoroughly cleaned between stays, guests are encouraged to bring their own cleaning supplies to the extent they feel necessary.

    • You must wear a face covering when you enter.
  • Bathhouses
    • You must wear a face covering when you enter.
    • Rigorous and more frequent cleaning of facilities will continue
    • Staff will continuously monitor handwashing stations to ensure sanitizing supplies are stocked, but guests are asked to report any shortages immediately and take steps to protect those using the facilities after them.
  • Putt-Putt Golf
    • Golfers should not loiter. You must not gather in groups of more than 10.
    • You must wear a face covering when entering buildings or interacting in close proximity to other golfers.
    • Equipment will be disinfected after each use.
  • Indoor pool and spa facilities
    • You must wear a face covering when entering buildings.
    • No swimming or gathering in groups of more than 10.
    • It is required to social distance and maintain at least 6 feet between individuals while in the pool or outside the pool.
    • Sharing objects like goggles, nose clips and snorkels is strictly prohibited.
    • Seating will be removed to prevent casual gathering.
    • Public areas will be cleaned and disinfected every 2 hours, particularly on high-touch surfaces such as faucets, toilets, door knobs and light switches.
  • Clubhouse & arcade, Watercraft rentals, Beach, Outdoor games & equipment, Pavilions, Playgrounds, Dog park
    • You must wear a face covering when you enter a public building.
    • Groups of 10 or more are still not allowed.
    • You must social distance and stay 6 feet apart.



  • Guests will be asked to clean up after themselves in both campsites and rentals to be considerate of the guests arriving after them.
  • Guests are encouraged to go directly back to their residence upon exiting the resort to avoid additional touchpoints and pit stops.

– Cancel or change 3 days or less prior to arrival date = $50 fee

– No show = $50 fee

Campsites (holiday weekends only)

– Cancel or change 7 days prior to arrival date = No fee

– Cancel or change 4-6 days prior to arrival date = $50 fee

– Cancel or change 3 or less days prior to arrival date = $100 fee

– No show = $100 fee


– Cancel or change more than 2 weeks prior to arrival date = No fee

– Cancel or change 4-13 days prior to arrival date = Fee of 1 night rental cost

– Cancel or change 3 days or less prior to arrival date = Fee of 2 nights rental cost

– No show = Fee of 2 nights rental cost

Please note that any cancellation fees that apply will be automatically billed to your account. If you are on auto-pay, the amount will automatically be deducted the following business day.
