It’s a new year and we’re excited about what’s to come in 2024! We want to bring you an exciting update on the Arrowhead main building.  Final demolition is complete and we are excited to announce that we are working with General Contractor Miner & East on an approved scope of work. We are currently also working with an architect on our reconstruction plans, which will include an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. The permitting process for our plans will be the next big step of this project.    We Look Forward to Building a Brand New and Improved Facility… We are committed to rebuilding as fast as we possibly can. This was a devastating loss and we understand how important this amenity is to our Members. We will continue to offer updates as frequently as we can. Again, please remember that we remain at the mercy of our commercial insurance carrier and the authorities reviewing our plans for reconstruction. Members are welcome to email wecare@ventureoutresorts.com or call us at 989-671-1125 at any time with questions.  For a refresher on the process and what we’ve been doing since the tornado, please visit our News section on the website.   You Can Still Enjoy a Pool! We’ve reached out to the Wapakoneta YMCA and they have graciously offered our Members a discounted rate for day passes to use their indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Individual day passes are just $5/day and family day passes are just $10/day. They are waiving the joiner/access fee of $25/$50. Just show your Venture Out Resorts member card! We can’t thank the Y enough for this partnership!   We appreciate everyone’s support and we can’t wait to make more camping memories with you this year!...

We have made a huge step toward rebuilding the main building/pool house at our Arrowhead Lakes Resort! As shared in June, the roof structure of our main building above the pool collapsed causing more debris and damage, leading us to make the decision to demolish the entire building. On Monday, July 24th, 2023, a clean and quick demolition took place and everything went according to plan. Precautions were taken to salvage the foundation, the pool, and the surrounding deck, but those remaining items will be inspected upon completion of debris removal. We will be putting our full focus and attention into the rebuilding process of this facility. We are actively working with our architecture firm and general contractor to approve drawings and proposals to match the footprint and follow all state and local guidelines and codes. While we do not have a timeline to share for the rebuild at this point, we are excited about the next steps, and will share more updates as we proceed with the reconstruction of the main building/pool house. While we work on the rebuilding process, there is still lots to enjoy at the Resort! This week, the remaining roof structure of our main building above the pool collapsed causing more debris and damage. We immediately scheduled an engineer to come out and the engineer deemed that the entire building will need to be demolished. We already have bids from contractors so we can do this work as soon as possible. While we await demolition and begin the rebuilding process, we ask that all guests stay clear of the main building. Barrier fencing will be installed in the coming week for the demolition work and the safety of all. Once the demolition work begins, please pardon our dust!   This project will now be a complete new build. We are excited for what the future holds and how we can make this an even better experience for our members and guests! In the meantime, we are also working on supplemental activities for this summer and have opened many of our regular amenities as well. Plus, don’t forget the Wapakoneta WaterPark is less than 10 minutes away! A brand new splash pad at the Wapakoneta Family Y also opened in May 2023. Visit their Facebook pages for lots of great information!...

We realize there are a lot of questions surrounding what is happening after the tornado damage at Arrowhead Lakes Resort. We want to assure you that over the last month, we have been working with the insurance company to get our claim approved. This was considered a catastrophic event so this process takes time. However, we are excited to tell you that we will fully rebuild the main building!  We anticipate over a $1 million project to build a better facility with a store, sales office, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Please expect that this rebuild could take 6-12+ months. Considering the extent of the damage and the continued rain over the last month, this process has moved along the best it can! We are excited to continue keeping you in the loop on more plans, and we appreciate your continued patience and support as we work through bringing Arrowhead Lakes Resort back to life! ...

On April 1, 2023 around 1:30 a.m., an EF1 tornado ripped through Arrowhead Lakes Resort. There were no fatalities at the resort, but a few were injured and taken to the hospital. Below is a timeline to walk you through the events that followed the tornado: April 3 - We allowed members with a camper on a site to come in to Arrowhead Lakes for insurance purposes only. Assessment and debris cleanup was still ongoing and it was not safe for unauthorized individuals to be in the resort. April 7 - We allowed anyone with a camper or property at Arrowhead Lakes to come in, but with a staff escort as it was still unsafe. April 10 - We partially reopened Arrowhead Lakes for camping only (sites 71-208). Many amenities, campsites and rental units were still closed. April 13 - Putt putt, activities, and a makeshift store opened at Arrowhead Lakes. April 15 - The Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce helped organize a massive community volunteer cleanup effort at Arrowhead Lakes. April 15 - We opened Indian Lake Resort early (scheduled to open May 1) for camping.   Our hearts and condolences go out to everyone who went through this difficult time. Our staff have been working hard to clean up the resort and get things back up and running as they are able. We can't say thank you enough to everyone who has reached out to give their support and offered their help through this difficult time. 💙...
